Global Englishes and Transformation Studies Journal (GETS Journal) welcomes theoretical, empirical, and practice-based studies that examine how English, as a global and local language, shapes educational policies, pedagogies, and identities; and how English language education can contribute to inclusive, equitable, and transformative educational practices.

The journal’s scope includes, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  • Global Englishes, World Englishes, and English as a Lingua Franca (ELF)

  • Critical English Language Education and transformative pedagogy

  • English medium instruction (EMI) and multilingual education

  • Language policy, ideology, and educational equity

  • Intercultural communication and global citizenship education

  • Technology, digital literacies, and innovation in English teaching and learning

  • Teacher professional development and transformative practices in ELT

  • Sociolinguistic, cultural, and identity studies related to English use and learning
